Need For Speed World Achievements

Achievements are an addition to the game that was released on 10th April 2013. The purpose of the achievements is to make players perform certain actions they wouldn't normally do in order to unlock the achievement, grab the respective reward, and increase the Driver Score. In other words, achievements are rewards for completing specific milestones in the game. The achievements in Need For Speed: World are divided in 4 categories, and each achievement has between 3 and 5 ranks, with each rank being harder to complete than the previous. The total of achievements is 70.

Achievements Categories

• Competition Achievements (these achievements are earned by participating in events, such as Races, Team Escape, Pursuit Outruns, etc.)

• Collection Achievements (these achievements are earned by collecting more and more cars, or by collecting a certain number of cars from a specific brand)

• Customization Achievements (these achievements are earned by customizing the car, be it with performance parts or visual parts)

• Driver Achievements (these achievements are earned by levelling up, earning in-game cash, and hitting various game in-game milestones)

Driver Score

Driver Score is also a new addition that comes with the achievements. Every achievement unlocked will earn the player Driver Points, which count towards that player overall Driver Score. This Driver Score can be seen in virtually every menu in the game, be it in the event lobby, post race screen, or when comparing drivers.

Badges

Each unlocked achievement gives the player a badge, which can afterwards be attached to one of four slots adjacent to the player's profile icon. All badges can be placed in any of these slots, and upon being placed, they are made visible to other players. All badges have a coloured border surrounding them. The colour of the border denotes how many players within the game have earned that specific rank of the achievement: black means that a large proportion of players have reached that rank for the achievement; gold means that less than 5% of all players have reached that rank for the achievement.

Rewards

Each rank of an achievement has a specific reward that the player can unlock. Unclaimed rewards are shown with a gift icon in the bottom-right corner of the badges the player has completed but has not yet not redeemed. The rewards for unlocking achievements include Aftermarket Parts (wheels, lowering kits, custom license plates, window tint), Skill Mods (2-stars, 3-stars, 4-stars), IGC (in-game cash), Performance Parts (street, tuned, pro, ultra), Card Packs (bronze, silver, gold), and 6 Cars that cannot be bought or won otherwise, known as "Achievement Edition" (these cars are listed below).

• B-Class Champion: Multiplayer B-Class Restricted Sprints & Circuits won

• Bentley Collector: Bentleys owned in garage
