In SHIFT 2: Unleashed the career is made up of 8 racing disciplines, each one with its own rival, who is a real world driver. When you beat the rival you win their car, a special machine that cannot be bought and that is equal to what the driver drives in real life. As an example, if you beat Patrick Soderlund in the FIA GT3 racing discipline you win his car, the Team Need For Speed BMW Z4 GT3.
